Project time

2022-2024

We started working in the fall of 2022 to prepare Henkel’s new office in a renovated old copper factory in Sundbyberg. This exciting project involved transforming the historic site into a modern and flexible office space. In line with the company’s vision, we tailored the design to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that fosters collaboration and creativity.

With the move scheduled for December 2023, Henkel also transitioned from fixed to flexible workspaces. Our task was to create an environment that balanced the need for collaboration and focused work, while also fostering an inspiring atmosphere for both employees and visitors. The goal was to deliver an office that serves not only as a space for productivity but also as a creative hub for ideas and innovation. We were excited to see how our design would help realize Henkel’s vision for their new office.

Challenges

Henkel aimed to create an office with a unique design expression that reflects their Scandinavian presence while aligning with their global logo and brand profile. One of the challenges was to develop a visual language that feels locally grounded yet internationally consistent. Additionally, the office needed to accommodate a mix of traditional workspaces and specially designed laboratory environments, which required a thoughtful layout to ensure both functionality and flexibility.

Solutions

To achieve a harmonious and Scandinavian expression, we toned down Henkel’s typically bold red logo color and opted for an earthy color palette instead. This resulted in a balanced design that remains true to the brand’s identity.

A thoughtful layout designed to ensure both functionality and flexibility.
