Opening of Uppsala City Hall

The new City Hall in Uppsala is finally open. Indicum has been working for over two years to create a pleasant, activity-based working environment on a total of 27,000 square metres for 1,800 of the municipality’s employees.

In addition to the office space, the new City Hall also includes public areas with an information centre, reception, conference areas and services. The work has involved close collaboration with the municipality’s politicians, project team and building architects, and one aim has been to preserve as much of the building’s historical value as possible.

With a strong focus on recycled furnishings and circular design, each floor of the building has different themes inspired by the plant kingdom of the county. Like a meadow-like palette filled with diversity and harmony.
