“As a professional, I hope to show the students that sustainable solutions do not have to be restrictive but can be creative and inspiring”.

Therese Löwstedt from Indicum visited Beckman School of Design to give an inspirational lecture on the theme of sustainability to the students in year 2 of the design programme. During the lecture, Therese talked about Indicum’s work to create more sustainable interiors and about how we actively drive the industry forward through our initiatives inredningsarkitektur.se and Hållbara interiör.
It’s always inspiring to visit art schools and meet the students, and of course it’s especially nice to be back at Beckmans in this role, since I started my studies there 15 years ago. A lot has happened since I was at the school and since this summer the school is housed in an old industrial building on Lidingö with high ceilings and lots of light, but the biggest difference is probably that sustainability is now seen as a natural part of the design process and not as a separate subject as when I was a student.
“As a professional, I hope to show the students that sustainable solutions do not have to be restrictive but can be creative and inspiring”, says Therese Löwstedt, Interior architect and partner at Indicum.
