From Waste to Form – invitation to a workshop and artistic creation with surplus materials from the Swedish furniture industry

At this year’s Kulturnatt in Uppsala, Indicum invites you to an inspiring and creative workshop in the historic Orangery at the Botanical Garden.

Together with visitors, we will explore the intersection between art and interior architecture. The day begins with a short introduction to the role of an interior architect and different ways of thinking about space, spatiality, and spatial design.

After the introduction follows a hands-on workshop, where we work creatively with surplus materials from the Swedish furniture industry. We will explore how leftover materials can gain new life as spatial expressions, while reflecting on sustainability, function, and aesthetics.

With a focus on textiles, we will use high-quality carpets, curtains, and upholstery fabrics from Ludvig Svensson, Kvadrat, Ogeborg, Creation Baumann, Gabriel, and EGE. A warm thank you to all our generous sponsors!
