20 years of growth. And it feels like we’re just getting started.
This year, Indicum celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Looking back over the past two decades, I am struck by how much both our company and our industry have evolved. When Indicum was founded in 2006, our focus was on creating functional and inspiring workplaces. That is still at the heart of what we do. Today, however, we also recognise that every design decision influences climate impact, resource use and the long term value of the spaces we create.
Sustainability has become a natural part of the way we work.
The first half of the year has been filled with exciting projects and new collaborations. We have been entrusted with assignments for several Swedish government agencies, secured new framework agreements, become a framework supplier through Adda and started partnerships that we look forward to developing for many years to come.
At the same time, we have continued to drive the development of sustainable interior architecture. Through Hållbar Interiör, our work with climate data and several Vinnova funded innovation projects, we are helping to shape new methods and tools for a more sustainable built environment. During the year, we have also found inspiration beyond Sweden’s borders through study visits and knowledge exchange with colleagues in Norway. We participated in Stockholm Design Week and are now looking forward to taking part in Almedalen Week for the first time.
What makes me most optimistic, however, is not the individual projects or achievements.
It is the people we meet. More and more clients, partners and colleagues share the same ambition. Our conversations increasingly focus on how we can preserve more, reuse more and make better decisions based on reliable climate data. There is a genuine willingness to think long term and to develop new ways of working together.
I believe that is where the future lies. No single organisation can transform an industry on its own. But together, we can redefine what is possible.
In September, we will celebrate Indicum’s 20th anniversary together with our clients, partners and friends. It will be an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come while looking ahead to what comes next. Although much has happened since 2006, it truly feels as though the most exciting part of our journey is still ahead of us.
As summer approaches, it is also time to slow down, recharge and enjoy a well deserved break.
I would like to thank all our clients, partners and colleagues for your trust, your collaboration and your continued support throughout the year.
I wish you all a wonderful summer!
